Well first of all, the help seems to be working so I don't see a reason for the US to stop aiding the Philippines.

the Philippines got hit by this huge Typhoon and its the biggest typhonn ever to be recorded. Some major problems they are facing are resources (water, food, and shelter). The picture that hit me the most was the guy looking through the fence, it seems as he lost all hope for himself and his family as well. Our responsibilities are to supply water and supply food and shelter and as many resources as we humans can!

Basically all that needs to be done is what is being done. Providing food, water, and shelter to all the people effected by the Typhoon.

The typhoon that came by the Philippines is turning out to be more and more worse than they had thought. Re-construction and finances may be the biggest problem but all we in the US can do is continue to send our support and aid their way.

1. A major typhoon in the Phillipines occured this week and killed many people and destroyed many homes. It destroyed any hope or happiness in the area.
2.Many families have lost their kids or are finding there dead bodies under rubble. Also people are trying to figure out where to live since their home was destroyed. Some people are leaving to find resources such as food and water.
3.The picture that impacted me the most was the one where the lady had just given birth to her baby. In the photo she is being handed her baby but in the background there is just a rubble and dirt. No place to raise a new-born baby.
4.I think the world should rally together to create funds for building new homes for some of the victims and provide clean food and water for all those who have no way of finding it. People should donate whatever money they can afford to offer.

In the Philippines there was a typhoon where more than 3,000 people are dead and more than 1,000 missing. Some of the problems they are facing are a shortage of food water and a loss of family members or loved ones. The picture that impacted me the most was the 16th picture because it shows how much they need food. I think the world should help because it is our responsibility to treat others how we want to be treated. And if we don't help them and we need help with something and they have the materials and we don't then they probably will say no because we didn't help them.

The picture that really got to me the most was the one with all the children running around through the debris and wreckage. Its likely that there parents have been killed by the disaster that happened there.

Anonymous said...

Ash I think your right but I still think we need to give more resources to these people. They still don't have enough.

Typhoon Haiyan has caused a major death toll that is said to have been apocalyptic families are dead, children have been found dead, alot missing, sickness, hunger and thirst deaths are rising. it has caused a lot of violent energy and escaped prisoners are raping and killing among people already dead. the responsibility we have in this case is trying to get families that are alive still to safety

Anonymous said...

1) One of the strongest storms recorded, Super Typhoon Haiyan.

2) They are facing sickness, hunger, and thirst.

3) The 17th photo, because it shows how hungry all those children are.

4) To supply them with food and water. And help them shelter.

Gage, I completely agree with you we need to spend our support, aid, and materials to help them in this time of need.

Anonymous said...

i agree with ash and jake

1. What happened in the Philippines this week? The Philippines experienced Typhoon Haiyan. As crews collected more bodies from the streets, the death toll quickly rose to 3,621. There are 12,165 injured and 1,140 missing.
2. What are some of the major problems they are facing? They are facing issues such as finding clean water, food, and places to sleep.
3. After viewing the pictures, which one impacted you the most and why? The picture that impacted me the most was the picture of the girl who seemed to have just given birth. The baby is being born into a world surrounded by chaos.
4. What are the responsibilities of the world in helping the Philippines? The responsibilities of the world are to supply clean water and food and to raise money to start rebuilding their homes. We need to raise as much money and help as much as we can.

"Each team will be required to handle 40 corpses per day."
The amount of pain and destruction seen by these families is indescribable. The aftermath of this catastrophy is depicted as "More than a week later, sickness, hunger and thirst have settled in with the sticky, humid heat and stench of rancid flesh hanging over the apocalyptic scene." Thousands of families have been ripped apart from each other, causing mass worry and hysteria. One of the victims states "She's found the bodies of three of her children, but three of them are still missing. In days, she said, no one has come to help." America was the first country to respond to this disaster, bringing in medical supplies, food, and water. This act of kindness shown by the United States proves that our nation is still the greatest in the world.

1. there was a typhoon that made a lot of people loose their homes and stuff and food even their loved ones.
2. they are out of a lot of food and supplies. a lot of people lost everything including their lives. some people got very hurt and they don't have any help.
3. the picture that impacted me the most s the one with the baby because i bet its really hard on the mommy having her baby grow up in an environment.
4. i think if you have a heart and you don't wish pain or suffering to anyone you should help. a lot of people think they cant help because they don't have money but its the little nice caring things that mean the most and touch the heart.

It seems like we always provide very minimal support when something like this happens, and I think that the support needs to be increased greatly, but at the moment there isn't much else we can do with a city where corpses are lining the streets.

1.) A typhoon wiped out the homes of 2 million.
2.) They are facing loss, weather it be posessions, or loved ones, hunger, and stress.
3.) In the 17th picture you can see hundreds of children standing in the rubble of homes, and they look tired and hungry.
4.) If this were to happen to our homes, we'd want help. It's not the world's job, but its our chance to give a good gesture, and just give for once, especially to those in need.

1.) There was a huge Typhoon in the Philippines that was even bigger then Hurricane Katrina.
2.) In the Philippines many people are having to deal with the loss of loved one's, no food, shelter, or clean water.
3.) The picture that impacted me the most was picture 16, it really shows how terrible this actually is. There is young children running through the streets without there parents and there are hundreds with no shelter, food, water, and family members.
4.) I think that the world should donate food, clean water, and clothing to the Philippines. Thousands have already died and I think that if we can save life's we should.

1. Tycoon Haiyan hit the Phillipines and destroyed lots of homes, causing a huge loss of life.

2. Sickness, hunger, thirst, and loss of homes are some of the problems currently faces.

3. Probably the one where soldiers evacuate a sick survivor, because it shows how distressing the situation actually is.

4.They are giving them food, water, goods, and shelter. They are also helping the sick and injured get better.

Last week was the strongest typhoon since the weather conditions get recorded. This happened in the Philippines.
Some of the major problems they are facing are that many do not have any longer a home, because most buildings got destroy, also supermarkets, so people cant by food or drinks. And there is no money to rebuild everything, so they need help from other countries.
Picture 6 impacted me the most because all these people try to contact there families, just to tell them they are fine.
The world should help them with rebuilding houses, other buildings, with essentials and money. That is the best support the world can do right now.

Tristen, you leave a good point.

Typhoon Haiyan destroyed the streets and buildings of Philippine at least. 3,621 people lost their lives and 12,165 people were hurt injured badly in the horrible typhoon.

About 3,621 have been killed from a huge typhoon that hit the Philippines and 12,000 people are injured and homeless. One of the main problems they are having is thirst, shelter and food. I think the 4 picture in it is the best because it shows that everyone is trying to help out in this major crisis and that everyone is working together. I think that all the nations possible could help out a little because if everyone puts some time in it they can be rebuilt and have life be easier on them.

Natural disasters are one of the biggest problems humans can face and when millions of people cant supply themselves with stuff as simple as food and water than the least we could do is help.Every picture seemed striking to me.

In the Philippines this week there was a Typhoon that killed many people. It is the largest that has been recorded. Major problems they are currently facing are wandering children and the increased number in violence. The picture that really affected me the most was the picture where the the typhoon survivors were lined up at the Tacloban airport. The world is supporting them by supplying them with care packages and money.

They got hit by a big storm this week, that caused a lot of problems like sickness, hunger and thirst. Picture number two impacts me the most, because it looks like the person is really sick and I feel sorry for him.
Our responsibility is to try to help them by giving them food and water osv..

1.A typhoon hit the Philippines, killed thousands and destroyed everything.
2.Some of the major problems they are facing are that many of the kids are walking around by them selves, no food or clean water and also there are to many people trying to get out of town.
3.The picture of the mom and her baby impacted me the most because it shows how much all of them were impacted, and also because it shows that the baby will not be able to grow up with a mom.
4.The responsibilities of the world in helping the Philippines is to do what we can because those people are going through more than most of us know of.

In
phillipines nears 12,000 people were injured and about 3,000 people are missing, with about 1140 people missing. After more then a week hunger hits, with humidity and heat to wait out in. Many kids romed the streets looking for there parents and many families were lost in this typhoon. there were diffrent crews and they identified at least 40 bodys before the night ended. These types of disasters hapen all the time in diffrent areas of the world.

A typhoon hit the philippines 12,165 people.

The major problems they're facing right now is sickness, hunger, and thirst.

Number 18 because its really sad that so many people were injured and they're trying to help them out and get better.

I think the responsibilities of the world are to make sure that everyone is healthy, fed, and have a place to stay.

1) A huge Typhoon hit the Philippines.
2) Everyone is facing hunger, thirst, and illness. Also some streets are blocked by wood and other items that have been pilled up which is stopping help from getting to them.
3) The photo of the mother holding her new born baby at the airport, because you know that baby is not getting the care he needs because there are not that many rescorces around.
4) The responsabilites of the world are to get these people food and water and shelter. and to provide propure burial sits for the ones killed

1. A typhoon destroyed homes and killed many.
2. Hunger, homeless, thirsty. They need money.
3. The first one where it shows all the damage that the typhoon made. The lost people just standing around with no where to go.
4. To help them out by sending food and money.

3. I think picture 13 shocked me the most because you can see the lost hope in the face of the man. He looks like he lost everything.
4. I think they are already helping really good. They people their get food and water.
