I would vote for HAPPYBABY. Not only is her company making healthier, organic foods for infants and toddlers, they're feeding starving kids in Africa at their own expense. They're helping two commuities at once.
I voted for HAPPYBABY BECAUSE they're feeding babies healthier foods that parents can actually afford as well as helping to feed starving children in Africa. Their cause really makes a difference in peoples lives.

I dont much like the options maybe if I learned about this earlier than i would totally vote for someone but I dont like the choices maybe there was a rad choice that should be here in stead I wont vote so bleh
I would vote for the happy baby one because she is directly providing food for children in Africa for a whole day and she is also providing good products for mothers and babies. Even though the other companies contribute to their communities, she seems to have the most important cause of them all.
i would choose the happy baby one because feeding babies is very important. and also we are feeding a starving child in africa. The food she is making is healthy and great for the babies. The other 2 are great but helping starving kids while making a babies body healthy is a great idea.
I would vote for happybaby because what their doing is helping struggling people in other countries besides america that need our help. Also their foods are healthy and organic which will feed them and give them the nutrients they need. They are doing what they can to help struggling families and starving children in Africa.
I would vote for Beacon Paint & Hardware. Is company goes out of there way and uses there money and time to keep bring in money. And they work hard to keep the schools stocked with supples for the next school year.
I voted for the happy baby one because they are doing a lot of good for a lot of people. The other ones are good but I think happy baby is doing the best.
I would vote for HAPPYBABY, they're helping people out by making them healthier and it more affordable. In both cases the people benefit and with the money they could reach out even more and help multiple causes. They also feed starving children in Africa I mean it isn't a tough decision for me to choose this organization, they are just all around helpful.
I voted for the happy baby one. I thought it simply made the most sense, it was simple easy and it made me understand that this woman deserved the money that she earned. She donates money to feed starving children in other countries. None of the other 2 groups seemed to donate time or effort for other things other then there own company.

I voted for sacred wind communications because I thought it was really neat how they were letting little kids have computers and learn!! Education is so so important and them giving some of that is SUPER!
I voted for happy babies because teir making organic nutritious food for babies and their feeding starving children in Africa. Their doing two deeds at once.
I voted for HAPPYBABY because she has been make healthy foods for babies. And I like hows she is going to try and help the kids of Africa. Now thats cool she is helping to place at once that really amazing.
I'd vote for sacred wind communications because I have family from New Mexico and I love it there. I think that we need to help navajo people because we have taken a lot from them and need to give back.
I voted for Sacred wind because they're working to improve the homeland instead of ignoring the problem at home by donating to africa, which doesn't help alot to be honest.
I voted for a Neighborhood Beacon because schools need supplies to do what they can for students to learn. Students need paper, which is really low for school apparently, and for someone to donate like that is amazing to see in this world. If schools don't have to pay for supplies then they can add their budget that they have to spend, they can spend it on extra things, such as more classes, so that students can have more decision to make for college and what not.

I am DEFINITELY torn between the communication & Happy baby. Because babies, well sure we wish there was better things to feed our children, but think back, they didn't have that while we were growing up and we turned out just fine.
The communication because i find it amazing that people realize that there are people out there that cant communicate with family in other places, and i feel so bad for them, that they are not offered the technology that we take so much advantage of.
I voted for sacred wing communications because, they are helping people have adv communication's. There people have been on this land for a long time, and they don't have any kind of technology. Since technology is somewhat expensive the money would help fund those projects.
I voted for Happy Baby because when you start feeding babies healthy food with good nutrition they are more likely to live a healthy life and grow up with better eating habits, which would lower national obesity.
I vote for the happybaby company because i believe that th.e children/ babys are the future and the deserve the best weather it be treatment food or both

I voted for Sacred Communications because it is devoted to helping spread technology to those who are unable to afford it. Over 50% of their customers are below the Federal poverty level, and the vast majority of them have gone without computers, T.V., or even basic heating. With low cost phones, the Navajo communities could start to catch up to modern society.
i voted for the paint stor beacause they are a small neiborhood company that has been thare for 109 years. i like small local stors beacause they are regular people that understand you and your problems. they arnt a beg wig exec. in a high rise that doesnt have to see you again and doesnt care about your problems.

I voted for the Beacon Paint because they seem like a good business and well liked around town. I mean they must be if they have been around for over 100 years. All of the choices were good, but Beacon seemed the best way to go :)
I voted for the HAPPYBABY. Because they are feeding babies and keeping them healthy. Parents are able to feed their children and keep them healthy and safe.
I chose the beacon program because they do it for everyone not just for babies or for navajo people they do it for everyone or everything that comes to the place and that what i think was a good reason to vote for them
I think that these are all really good. Except for the one that is giving phone service to Native Americans. They have gone this long why do they need phones now? Who are they gonna call? I voted for HAPPYBABY because it seems good to make BABIES HAPPY. In Africa. They are hungry and they should eat.

i personally would vote for beacon because they are focused on bettering there community and they help out schools, and could defenintly use the money more than the other two, happy baby is nice but its a real company and has good income shes doing just fine and people will keep buying her products, but beacon gives free hardware ect to the schools and are very charitable and very community orientated, and i believe they will give back what ever they get over time
I voted for Happy Baby because I felt that not only did the woman help her immediate community, but communities worldwide by helping feed other children who are less fortunate. This type of community service is the most helpful and deserves the grant to their business to help expand it.
I voted for the beacon paint company because I feel that we need more companies to be involved in the community in a positive way. It makes people feel more together when local companies are really trying to help out the community, and brings people together. There are many things happening in the world that could use help, but I think in order to help others we need to work on our own community first. Having a strong community will better lead us to helping others in need.

i voted for BEACON because ever kid deserves a healthy education. BEACON will not only give children a healthy environment but a safe and fun environment. they would be up grading the educational system for the next generation.
I voted for the Beacon Paint & Hardware because it seems to me that the do a lot more services to the community then just selling paint and hardware. They use their resources to contribute to the surrounding schools and charity organizations, and I believe that deserves a helping hand to keep their store and their community afloat.

Kids in Africa need food too because they are at critical conditions and they are dying of starvation. Happy baby is a good company for the society and without them a lot of infants would be hungry, and a lot of parents would be unhappy.

i voted for HAPPYBABY! they are very charitable and every product they sell the feed a hungry baby in africa for a day! even though we might already have a bunch of baby foundations and charities and companies, its always good to renew or have different products to try out. it gives something back. :)
I picked Happy Baby, because while your helping your child getting the nutrition that they need and everything, you are also feeding a child in Africa. And I think that is amazing. The painting company says like yeah they help out the neighborhoods and whatnot but HAPPYBABY is better. And the Navajo Reservation is simply a waste in my opinion. I think feed kids in Africa, and helping babies eat better, is more imortant.
I voted for Beacon because they are a small town hardware store, I would love a small hardware store like that where they all know you by name and a mascott. They also support many charities for XP.

I would vote HAPPYBABY. The company is making babies healthier and feeding the starving children in Africa. This is very helpful for all parents. Im sure the parents thank her for all she is doing for the babies. Now babies can grow big and strong, maybe not even have health problems when they get older. This is a very good cause.

the happy baby was a clear winer in my eyes for reasons of people needing food around the world. Alot of the food being sold in stores have had chemichals in them witch istn good for kids at all. i do beleve in organic food and i wish them the best of luck.
Out of the three finalists on the Shine the Light website, i chose to vote for Deacon Paint. Every single one of the finalists presented great arguments as well as evidence why they should be chosen, but Deacon's purpose and actions appealed to me the most.
Personally, i love babies and am all about helping them stay healthy and giving food to those who have none, but i know from experience that there are other ways of feeding your baby organic foods. My mother for example, ate mostly organic foods when i was a baby, and instead of going out and buying baby foods, she would just put whatever food she was eating in the blender for me. As for the navajo communications finalist, i fully support their cause and what they are doing, but i also know that there are other and better things people could be spending their money on. Deacon Paint earned my vote not because they are going out of their way to make a difference in the world, but because they are targeting a specific audience and are going through with what they are doing regardless of funds. They legitimately CARE about the children and customers that come around their shop. They are truly compassionate people, and are reaching out and interacting with the people instead of just treating it as their business.
I would vote for HAPPYBABY, because they are helping here and in Africa. I am a littile bias simply because i LOVE babies, but when you make healthy er food more afforadable for babies moms then you really rock in my book.
I would vote for the Wind one it is really cool that someone is finally giving back to the Indians. I mean we took so much for them and yet we gave back so little. And finally we are giving back in a tremendous way. I mean they have really nothing and now they have phones and really cool things. It is a really awesome way for them to get connected. It is just really cool.
I would place my vote for HAPPYBABY. It helps two categories; starving kids in Africa, and getting infants and toddlers healthier by feeding them organic and healthy foods.
