Minimum wage workers, mostly fast food workers, are protesting to raise the minimum wage. They are saying the $7.90 an hour they get paid isn't enough to provide for their families. They want people to know their not teenagers looking for extra money, they have children to take care of and rent to pay. Another protest is planned for noon today, and they say their ready to get arrested if it comes to that.

A 2nd American journalist was beheaded by ISIS. Steven Sotloff was reporting in Syria when he disappeared in 2013. An overcrowded bus carrying wedding guests was swept away Thursday by a flooded stream in the Indian-held portion of Kashmir and about 70 people were missing. Rescuers have been searching for the bus have been unable to locate them. 14 people have died in the past 2 days from the flood. World News Ukraine, rebels sign cease fire.
Ukraine's government and separatist leaders signed a ceasefire deal Friday after talks in Belarus, raising hopes of an end to the nearly five-month conflict that has wracked eastern Ukraine.
The decision was made "on the basis of the call by the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the leaders of the unlawful armed groups in Donbas to cease fire" and the signature of the truce protocol in Belarus, he said. Donbas is a term used to refer to the eastern Ukraine region.Poroshenko said he had asked his Foreign Minister and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which already has international observers in Ukraine, to monitor compliance with the ceasefire.

In Syria, ISIS killed 270 workers at a gas field. Not only were 270 people killed, but another 90 workers are missing. ISIS has put out an ultimatum saying if Christians in the area don't pay extra taxes, they will be killed. Thousands of families have fled the region in fear of being killed by ISIS. ISIS has become much more bold in their attacks on people and incredibly more violent.

A Bull Head City police officer arrested a 26 year old man for the murder of an 8 year old girl. The man, Justin Rector, was a family friend of the girl and her mother. Justin Rector apparently disappeared with the girl, Isabella, while their mother was gone. He has been charged with kidnapping and first degree murder. Rector told police he went to his friends house that night, but his friends denied him ever coming over.

Police arrested at least four protesters Thursday afternoon who were part of a group calling for higher fast-food wages while blocking traffic on a street in southeast Phoenix.
The demonstration at 24th and Van Buren streets was one of about 150 planned protests around the country for a campaign called "Fight For $15," the minimum amount that can support a family, according to the movement.
About 100 people participated in the Phoenix event. Some carried signs that read, "We Can't Survive on $7.95." The current hourly, minimum wage is $7.90.

Police are searching for a man who duct taped and strangled his girlfriend. The 21-year-old woman told investigators that her live-in boyfriend assaulted her at their home in the 17000 block of North Cave Creek Road on Wednesday night. She says her boyfriend tied her down a strangled her. He threatened to take her out into the desert and kill her. The woman is being treated for injuries suffered during the assault.

Dr. Peter Steinmetz's openly armed excursion at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport frightened more bystanders than just the two named as victims in his arrest, according to a police report released Wednesday. This past Thursday, a man was arrested for killing a local AZ girl. The 8 year old's sister said they were playing hide and seek and when she came back from the restroom, her sister was gone. It was also reported that the man stole clothing from a Walmart not to far away and left his old clothes in the store. The 8 year old's body was found on Wednesday in a shallow grave and footprints in the dirt matches those of the man.
