Hysteria?!

This week we learned how devastating mass fear and hysteria can be. Many people lost their life due to being falsely accused of evils they did not commit. We read an article and timeline showing many different types of people and religion being persecuted due to their beliefs or culture. Are we there again in regards to the Muslim community in America or not? Throughout the week the news has been reporting the controversy in New York City over whether the Muslim community should be able to build a community center approximately 2 blocks away from "Ground Zero." What are you opinions over this matter, please answer using facts from the article, what we have learned in class, what you have seen on the news, etc.
Remember you are to write you own opinion in a respectful manner. If you use slurs or reply to someone's post in a rude and negative manner you will receive a referral and an F.
